Huffman hadn't done well against Spain Park recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over the Jaguars. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Zaryah Johnson was her usual excellent self, putting up 11 points and seven assists.

Huffman picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Spain Park, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Huffman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Parker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are facing the Thundering Herd at the right time seeing as the Thundering Herd are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Spain Park, they and Cornerstone will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
