Softball Recap: Clio Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Clio's offense. They fell just short of the South Lyon Lions by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Addie Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Clio and nudges their season record down to 20-9. As for South Lyon, they pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Clio nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
