Basketball Recap: Serena Comes Up Short

Serena's tournament run continued when they took on Illinois Valley Central on Saturday. The Huskers took a blow against the Grey Ghosts, falling 53-25. The matchup marked the Huskers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Serena has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Illinois Valley Central, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Coming up, Serena will take on Orion in a tournament on Saturday. As for Illinois Valley Central, they will face off against Knoxville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
