Cooperstown has gone a perfect 3-0 against Clinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hawkeyes will head out to face off against the Comets at 4:30 p.m. Cooperstown's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Clinton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cooperstown is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Herkimer just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Magicians by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, Clinton hadn't done well against Herkimer recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Comets skirted past the Magicians 3-2.

Cooperstown's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Clinton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Cooperstown took their victory against Clinton when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 18-4 score. Will the Hawkeyes repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
