Football Recap: Bridge Creek Falls to Duncan in First Game of Season

Bridge Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 30-29 to the Duncan Demons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 13-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Loss or not, Bridge Creek got some senior leadership from Keaten Morrow and Lathan McKnight. Morrow threw for 319 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while McKnight gained 172 total yards and a touchdown. McKnight showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 68 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridge Creek will welcome Anadarko at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Duncan, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cache at 7:00 p.m.
