West Carteret posted their biggest win since December 11, 2024 on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 77-44 victory over the Richlands Wildcats. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season.

West Carteret's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jay Murray, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Bell, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points.

West Carteret was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richlands only posted nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why Richlands lost, don't look at Lenny Halfter-Hunter. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. That was a full 52.3% of Richlands' points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Jesse Osborne also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

West Carteret's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Richlands, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

West Carteret didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-41 victory against Dixon on the 4th. Richlands has also already played their next game, a 79-39 defeat against White Oak on the 4th.
