Edsel Ford proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lincoln Park Railsplitters, sneaking past 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Railsplitters: they've now won six in a row.

Chase Gilbert made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Gilbert was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Gilbert wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Levi Zarosly, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Edsel Ford's victory bumped their record up to 14-17. As for Lincoln Park, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-25.

As of now, neither Edsel Ford nor the Railsplitters have any future games scheduled.
