Baseball Recap: Westbrook Takes a Loss

Westbrook had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-5 to make it 13. They lost 13-3 to the Kennebunk Rams. If the Blue Blazes were looking for revenge after losing 10-7 to the Rams when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Kennebunk, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 25, 2024 (when they won 14-4).

For Kennebunk's part, Luke Davis was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Jensen, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westbrook will challenge rival Biddeford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kennebunk is set to take on their familiar foe Bonny Eagle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
