Softball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-15. They came up short against the Warwick Wildcats, falling 17-4. If the Middie Bears were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Warwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. The result was nothing new for Warwick, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Warwick's part, the team relied heavily on Camryn Moore, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Penny Bieling, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Middletown nor Warwick have any future games scheduled.
