Baseball Recap: Prairie Central Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Prairie Central's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Herscher Tigers on Saturday. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Prairie Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Friedman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Friedman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Prairie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Herscher, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-4.

Prairie Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Illinois Valley Central on the 5th. As for Herscher, they have also already played their next game, an 11-6 win against Manteno on the 5th.
