Softball Recap: Joliet Central Steelmen vs. Bremen Braves
Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 12-0 walloping at the hands of the Bremen Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Joliet Central of the 18-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
For Bremen's part, Brooke Gluszek was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Destiny Villagomez was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Joliet Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bremen, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.
Joliet Central will take on Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bremen, they will be playing at home against Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bremen is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
