Soccer Recap: North Wilkes Takes a Loss

North Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Forbush Falcons, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, North Wilkes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Forbush are ranked 228th).

North Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Forbush, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Wilkes will take on rival North Surry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Forbush is set to square off against their familiar foe Wilkes Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
