St. Mary's-Colgan added to the longest winning streak in Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee this week by beating Wellsville, 17-8. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Panthers.
St. Mary's-Colgan made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,693 from 7,330. The improvement was the result of a 17-8 victory over the Eagles last week.
6-foot-0 quarterback Kyler Cook of Galena is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,337. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is AJ Randle. The Columbus star has 35 catches for 780 yards.
Chuck Smith's team led the league in points allowed with 8.
