Baseball Recap: Hayfork Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Hayfork's offense. They fell just short of the Loyalton Grizzlies by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Timberjacks were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Hayfork and nudges their season record down to 5-8. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Loyalton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayfork will square off against Chester at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Loyalton, they will host Plumas Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
