Basketball Recap: Goshen Takes a Loss

Goshen was the 79-63 winner over Mt. Healthy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Goshen Warriors fell 82-70 to the Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Goshen saw an underclassman step up: freshman Graham Roark went 7 for 14 on his way to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Karson Alderman was another key player, going 5 of 9 to rack up 10 points.

Even though they lost, Goshen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Goshen's record now sits at 11-8. As for Mt. Healthy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14.

Coming up, Goshen will host Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goshen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.6 points per game this season. As for Mt. Healthy, they are taking a road trip to take on Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aiken knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matchups -- so hopefully Mt. Healthy likes a good challenge.
