Basketball Recap: Brearley Comes Up Short

Brearley lost against Glen Ridge back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Brearley Bears took a blow against the Glen Ridge Ridgers, falling 62-26.

Brearley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Glen Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Brearley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McNair Academic at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Glen Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on January 3, 2025 against Nutley at 4:00 p.m. Nutley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Glen Ridge likes a good challenge.
