Basketball Recap: River Ridge Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

River Ridge entered their match against Gig Harbor on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The River Ridge Hawks fell 58-45 to the Gig Harbor Tides. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dominique Harper, who posted six points along with seven blocks and six boards. The dominant performance gave Harper a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Ryzen Nunez, who earned 12 points and six rebounds.

River Ridge's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Gig Harbor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

River Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-61 win against Timberline on the 21st. As for Gig Harbor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-51 loss against Lincoln on the 21st.
