Baseball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Eastern Eagles

The Warren Warriors will take on the Eastern Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Warren and Jackson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors fell just short of the Ironman/Ironladies by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Ironman/Ironladies recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Eastern never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Belpre. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ethan Edwards made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Hunter Needs was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Clayton Moore was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in eight consecutive games.

Eastern has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Warren might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Eastern in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
