Basketball Game Preview: Batavia Bulldogs vs. Western Brown Broncos

Batavia hasn't had much luck against Western Brown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Batavia Bulldogs will take on the Western Brown Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Batavia will be strutting in after a win while Western Brown will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Batavia was fully in charge, breezing past New Richmond 62-27. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Western Brown entered their game against Fayetteville-Perry on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Western Brown lost 46-24 to Fayetteville-Perry. The contest marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in Madilyn Ruby and Ryley Kleemeyer. Kleemeyer had a solid game and dropped a double-double on ten points and 23 boards. Meanwhile, Ruby did her best for the losing side, putting up six points and five steals.

Batavia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.3 points. As for Western Brown, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

Batavia came up short against Western Brown in their previous meeting back in February, falling 47-42. Can Batavia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
