Baseball Recap: Peabody Takes a Loss

Peabody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Gibson County Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 last Monday.

Peabody now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Gibson County, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peabody will venture away from home to challenge Jackson North Side at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson North Side is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Gibson County, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeland Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
