Recap: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Thompson Valley Eagles
Even though the Mountain View Mountain Lions have not done well against the Thompson Valley Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Mountain View came out on top against Thompson Valley by a score of 55-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mountain View also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Addison Branscum continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Keil, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Thompson Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Niwot at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Niwot will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Mountain View is ranked 82nd). As for Thompson Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Morgan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
