Wesleyan Christian Academy is 9-1 against Greensboro Day School since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will challenge the Bengals at 4:00 p.m. Greensboro Day School took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wesleyan Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.
Wesleyan Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Charlotte Country Day School on Friday as they made off with a 17-6 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Mikey Papciak and Nick Papciak made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Papciak pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Nick pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Papciak went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Nick went 1-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two RBI gave Mikey a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blake Goff, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brandon Loehr, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs.
Meanwhile, Greensboro Day School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Westchester Country Day.
Oliver Fisher was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Ray, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
The win got Wesleyan Christian Academy back to even at 11-11. As for Greensboro Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wesleyan Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Greensboro Day School struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Wesleyan Christian Academy took their victory against Greensboro Day School in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
