Baseball Recap: New Bern Comes Up Short

New Bern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ayden - Grifton Chargers.

New Bern's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Ayden - Grifton, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Bern will head out to square off against D.H. Conley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ayden - Grifton, they will venture away from home to face off against Voyager Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
