Soccer Recap: Riverside-Durham Takes a Loss

Riverside-Durham lost against Enloe back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Riverside-Durham came up short against Enloe, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Riverside-Durham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Enloe are ranked 96th).

Riverside-Durham's goal came courtesy of Izzy Allison-Pleasants, who's now up to two this season.

Riverside-Durham is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Enloe, they pushed their record up to 5-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside-Durham will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hillside at 6:45 p.m. on April 8. As for Enloe, they will head out to take on Cardinal Gibbons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cardinal Gibbons' last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
