Basketball Game Preview: Pungo Christian Academy Raiders vs. Faith Christian Patriots

Pungo Christian Academy is 2-8 against Faith Christian since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pungo Christian Academy Raiders will be taking part in a tournament against the Faith Christian Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pungo Christian Academy is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They fell 43-31 to Eastern Christian HomeSchool. The game was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian came up short against Rocky Mount Academy last Friday and fell 61-53. The Patriots have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Pungo Christian Academy will need focus on slowing down NOAH MAYO, one of several Faith Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was JOSH PARKER, who had 11 points.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Pungo Christian Academy took a serious blow against Faith Christian in their previous matchup back in November, falling 66-36. Can Pungo Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
