League recap: Christian Life stuns Archbishop Hannan in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Christian Life, who took down 192nd ranked Archbishop Hannan, 26-6.

Kentwood extended the longest winning streak in 1A District 7 this week by beating Southern Lab, 51-25. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Kangaroos.

Michael Froeba was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 83 yards as the Hawks defeated the Kittens. Bruce DiMartino also contributed to the rushing game with 66 yards on the ground.

Trout was the best wideout in the league this week as David Currier's team bested Southern Lab. Trout racked up two receptions for 86 yards. Shyheim Carter helped Kentwood's passing attack out by catching one ball for 37 yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback Tavarious Battiste of the Kangaroos is the league leader in passing yards this season with 908. He has also thrown nine touchdowns. On the ground, Archbishop Hannan's Froeba has rushed for 777 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jason Brooks. The Archbishop Hannan star has 39 catches for 380 yards.

Kentwood led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Nakia Mitchell's team. Battiste ran for 41 yards in the win.
