Basketball Recap: Henry Johnson Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

There's no place like home for Centennial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They strolled past the Boise Brave with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 59-45. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Henry Johnson led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe Eddins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Boise, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Centennial will face off against Timberline at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matches -- so hopefully Timberline likes a good challenge. Boise has already played their next contest (against Borah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
