Volleyball Recap: Thayer Takes a Loss

After flying high against Seymour on Tuesday, Thayer came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the Cabool Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Thayer's offense was headlined by Avery Bowers and Rorie Risner, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Hattie Haynes and her 13 assists. Bowers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Thayer's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Cabool, their win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-7-3.

Thayer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cabool, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Fordland on the 25th.
