Volleyball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Appleton North

Franklin faced Appleton North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Sabers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lightning. The Sabers have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

LANDON KUE was the offensive standout of the match as he had 13 digs and one assist. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 30-7. As for Appleton North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-7 record this season.
