Volleyball Recap: Bay Port Pirates vs. Kimberly Papermakers

Bay Port extended their postseason success on Saturday against Kimberly. Everything went their way against the Kimberly Papermakers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Pirates who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Bay Port never let Kimberly on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-23.

Chloe Parker paced Bay Port's offense, picking up 13 kills. Parker were helped by Alaina Shimon and Meghan Bruss, who contributed 12 assists each. Bruss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kimberly lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ava Van Hammond, who had seven digs and 15 assists. Van Hammond has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Tesch, who had three digs and 15 assists.
