Volleyball Recap: Sam Houston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sam Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Martin Warriors, falling 3-0. The Texans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-8.

Retta Hall paced Sam Houston's offense, picking up three kills. Hall got some help from Samera Burton and her five assists.

Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 5-19-1. As for Martin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Sam Houston has already played their next matchup (against Haltom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Martin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Arlington on the 30th.
