Basketball Game Preview: Fairfax Stampede vs. Copper Canyon Aztecs

The Fairfax Stampede will head out on the road to square off against the Copper Canyon Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Fairfax is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering McClintock just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Chargers and fell 62-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Stampede have suffered since January 9th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Copper Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against Washington on Tuesday as Copper Canyon made off with a 41-18 win. The game marked the Aztecs' most dominant victory of the season.

Copper Canyon is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season. As for Fairfax, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.
