Softball Recap: Gadsden City Comes Up Short

Gadsden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hueytown Golden Gophers.

Gadsden City's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Hueytown, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Gadsden City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-6 defeat against Springville on the 4th. As for Hueytown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Plainview on the 4th.
