Flag Football Game Preview: Laguna Creek Cardinals vs. Elk Grove Thundering Herd + Official Tickets

The Laguna Creek Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Elk Grove Thundering Herd at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laguna Creek will be strutting in after a win while Elk Grove will be coming in after a loss.

Laguna Creek can't be too worried about heading out to take on Elk Grove: they just beat Sheldon at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Cardinals walked away with a 21-8 victory over the Huskies on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Huskies are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Elk Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by Pleasant Grove 42-12.

Laguna Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-11 record this season. As for Elk Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Laguna Creek couldn't quite get it done against Elk Grove when the teams last played back in September as they fell 19-12. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
