Baseball Recap: Southampton Comes Up Short

Southampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Phantoms this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Thursday.

Southampton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Magnozzi, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Southampton's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Bayport-Blue Point, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-0.

As of now, neither Southampton nor the Phantoms have any future games scheduled.
