El Campo was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Brazosport on Tuesday. The Ricebirds put the hurt on the Exporters with a sharp 9-1 victory. Considering the Ricebirds have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

El Campo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Brazosport, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

El Campo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-11 loss against East Bernard on the 12th. As for Brazosport, they will head out to square off against Needville at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
