Baseball Recap: Magnolia Comes Up Short

Magnolia lost against Bolsa Grande last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sentinels took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Matadors. The Sentinels' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Matthew Hermez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Mendoza, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bolsa Grande, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Magnolia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 win against Santa Ana Valley on the 15th. As for Bolsa Grande, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-5 victory against Rancho Alamitos on the 15th.
