Thursday just wasn't the day for Colbert Heights's offense. They suffered a tough 8-0 loss at the hands of the Elkmont Red Devils on Thursday. Colbert Heights has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Colbert Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakota Vaughn, who went 2-for-2 with a double.
On Elkmont's side, Jake Guthrie was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Miller, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Colbert Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Elkmont, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
