After a string of eight wins, Fayetteville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since September 30, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.

Kenleigh McArthur paced Fayetteville's offense, picking up seven kills. McArthur got some help from Isabella Kelley and her 11 assists. McArthur was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fayetteville suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 21-3. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Fayetteville and Lee-Scott Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Wolves (ranked 136th) will meet Maplesville (ranked 321st) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lee-Scott Academy will face off against Dadeville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (101 vs. 282).
