Baseball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. East Forsyth Eagles

Mount Tabor hasn't had much luck against East Forsyth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Mount Tabor will welcome East Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. Mount Tabor has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mount Tabor is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Davie, falling 14-2.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Mustangs. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

East Forsyth pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Mount Tabor, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Mount Tabor's way against East Forsyth in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Mount Tabor made off with a 12-4 victory. Will Mount Tabor repeat their success, or does East Forsyth has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
