Baseball Recap: Hoopa Valley Takes a Loss

Hoopa Valley lost against Ferndale last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors lost 15-5 to the Wildcats. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brandon Romero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Allen Kane, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Hoopa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ferndale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoopa Valley will host Weed at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Ferndale, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Round Valley at 7:00 p.m.
