Softball Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. St. Francis Troubadours

Franklin is 0-10 against St. Francis since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Franklin Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the St. Francis Troubadours at 4:00 p.m.

Franklin lost 11-4 to Pleasant Grove on Friday.

Franklin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micayla Arlotto, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Fields, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, in what's become a running theme this season, St. Francis gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Cosumnes Oaks 13-1. 13 seems to be a good number for St. Francis as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kinsley Imm made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched. Imm was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, St. Francis got a massive performance out of Claire Krotine, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Alexis McFarland, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for St. Francis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.
