Soccer Recap: MAST Academy Makes It Six in a Row at Home

MAST Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Downtown Doral Dolphins onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Makos have won four contests by more than six goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Downtown Doral from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Violeta Tuneus led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

MAST Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those six matches. As for Downtown Doral, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5-1.

MAST Academy will take on Goleman in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. MAST Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season. Downtown Doral and Westminster Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westminster Christian's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
