Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-0 to the Orting Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Orting, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washington is set to face off against their familiar foe Foss at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Orting will take on rival Steilacoom at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 2.8, the Sentinels 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
