Baseball Game Preview: Southern Huntingdon County Rockets vs. Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs

The Southern Huntingdon County Rockets will face off against the Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Southern Huntingdon County fell victim to Tussey Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Claysburg-Kimmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fannett Metal.

Mason Campagna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Paydden Knisely was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Claysburg-Kimmel now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Southern Huntingdon County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
