Manteno put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Chicago Christian Knights by a score of 52-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Manteno's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddie Gesky, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Emily Horath, who posted eight points in addition to 13 boards and five blocks.

Manteno smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests.

Chicago Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Harris, who had five points and 14 rebounds. Harris has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Dodd, who put up nine points.

Manteno pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Chicago Christian, they moved to 6-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Manteno didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-20 win against Newark on the 6th. As for Chicago Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 34-32 victory against Illiana Christian on the 7th.
