After flying high against El Camino last Thursday, Kennedy came back down to earth. Kennedy fell just short of the Antelope Titans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kennedy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 28-30, 25-17, 25-14, 15-12.

Their offense was headlined by Josh Vang and Jared Vaiz, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Troy Vue and his 23 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Aaron Staniels, who had 20 digs. Those 20 digs gave him a new career-high.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Antelope, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Kennedy has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Cordova on the 20th. As for Antelope, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Grant on the 20th.
