Baseball Recap: Van Buren County Comes Up Short

Van Buren County entered their game against Whitwell on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Van Buren County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Whitwell, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van Buren County will venture away from home to challenge Bledsoe County at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitwell, they will head out to take on Red Bank at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
