Baseball Recap: Cedar Ridge Raiders vs. Georgetown Eagles
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Ridge). They came out on top against the Georgetown Eagles by a score of 5-1 on Friday. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 5-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
Matthew Fletcher made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned runs in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
