Basketball Recap: KIPP P Comes Up Short

KIPP P was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 36th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 67-17 defeat at the hands of the North Edgecombe Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Pride can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Warriors are ranked 261st).

KIPP P's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for North Edgecombe, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

KIPP P does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Edgecombe, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northampton County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Edgecombe will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
